# Quick question (preview)

> Ask a free-form question about Sovrnti's markets, products and sovereignty scoring. Get a short, cited answer.

`sovrnti_qq_sherpa` answers a free-form question in plain language. The answer comes only from what Sovrnti has scored. It includes citations and suggests next tools to call.

Use it for "what about X?" questions that the structured tools do not cover. If the research does not cover the question, the tool says so. It is read-only. This is a preview.

## What you get

```json theme={null}
{
	"answer": "Short answer grounded in Sovrnti research.",
	"citations": [{ "passage": "Research passage the answer draws on." }],
	"suggestedToolCalls": [{ "tool": "sovrnti_product_compare" }],
	"accessOmissions": [],
	"grounding": "grounded"
}
```

* `answer`: the grounded answer.
* `citations`: the research passages it draws on.
* `suggestedToolCalls`: next tools to call.
* `accessOmissions`: optional. Data your token did not cover. It is disclosed, not hidden.
* `grounding`: `grounded` only when the answer cites at least one passage.

Inputs:

* `question` (required): 1 to 2000 characters.
* `market` (optional): a name, alias or id, for example "collaboration". It steers retrieval and framing.
* `geography` (optional): for example "France", "Europe" or "world". It steers the answer toward how products are bought in that place.

## How to use it

```text theme={null}
Which collaboration product holds up best under full sovereignty rules?
```

```text theme={null}
Why does Microsoft 365 score low on control in France?
```

## Troubleshooting

* `invalid-input`: the question is empty or longer than 2000 characters, or a field is not valid. Fix the input and try again.
* `insufficient-credits`: this organization does not have enough credits for this request. See options at [pricing](https://docs.sovrnti.io/resources/pricing).
